Description: LaSalle was awarded a general contract to renovate 10,000 SF of the Detroit Institute of Arts Building into a state-of-the-art laboratory in which art conservators can preserve art for the DIA and other institutions throughout the country. The project consisted of seven laboratories and two x-ray rooms which were used to investigate what is beneath the art pieces and for authenticity. The project also included complete mechanical, electrical and chemical exhaust systems.
